If you have ever started a sentence with those words, then you are officially a nerd. And studies conducted using statistically invalid sample sizes show that nerds do NOT stop being nerds once they have kids. So brace yourself. Children's books are going to drive you crazy with their silly inaccuracies and nonsensical illustrations. Slappy the seal is really a sea lion. Tommy turtle is totally a tortoise. And does anyone bother to figure out which ones are crocodiles and which are alligators? Looks like not.

Inscription is in French for additional pretentious effect, which is doubled by the reference to Magritte's famous surrealist painting, "This is not a pipe."
